Job Purpose
Working in the Planning & Allocation team your main objective will be to manage your team and be responsible for optimising trade opportunities by supporting stores with sufficient stock levels ensuring optimum availability. You will be responsible for building capability with the planning & allocation team by ensuring individual development and training needs are met.
You will be a commercially aware individual who has previous experience within a comparable merchandising/supply chain role and will have the ability to quickly gain a good understanding of systems and processes as well as strong communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Create and implement Planning & Allocation forward plan that meets the specific channel commercial performance requirements.
- Identify, build and maintain key internal/external stakeholder relationships to deliver an ongoing optimum stock position.
- Analyse store performance to ensure optimal stock support to drive sales and manage store stock levels accordingly.
- Identify and own key sales volumes forecasts at channel level, in collaboration with the buying and marketing teams for new ranges, seasons and promotions.
- Work with Head of Planning & Allocation to ensure effective and accurate planning of inbound/outbound stock flow to reflect range and promotional changes.
- Work with key stakeholders to ensure all system development changes are effectively tested and implemented.
- Partnering with Retail Operations, area and store managers to ensure stores are supported in achieving sales targets and to address issues and opportunities.

- Coaching and mentoring the team to deliver with confidence and competence.
- Other ad hoc duties such as analysis and reporting as requested by your line manager.
