Easter Eggs for Burnham Lodge Nursing Care Home

CPI Selection has a history of giving back to the community.  Sometimes this has been far afield such as sending our very own Leah Moy to Bali to work in Sea Turtle conservation.  Most recently our focus has been directed at a far more local, but every bit as deserving, recipient – the residents at Burnham Lodge Nursing Care Home.

The elderly are an often overlooked and can feel lonely, especially at certain times of the year when family and loved ones traditionally come together.  Therefore we thought it would be nice if we arranged an Easter Egg collection and drop off.  One Easter Egg for each of the 30 residents, including one vegan egg for a dairy intolerant individual.

Everyone based from our High Wycombe office bought and donated eggs, and CPI Selection topped up the donations to ensure that every resident would receive an egg.

A couple of days before Good Friday Gabriella and I packed up the eggs, and set off for Burnham Lodge Nursing Care Home.  There we were met by the lovely and hardworking Simba and Paulo, and were able to pass the eggs over into their care, ready to distribute to the residents on Easter Sunday.  We even got to meet a few of the residents, and it was lovely having a brief chat with them before having our photo taken together.

Now to start thinking about our next opportunity to give back.
